Ask This Question Before Making Any Financial Decision
Every financial decision carries consequences, both immediate and long-term. While there are many factors to consider, one simple question can provide clarity in almost any situation: Does this move me closer to my goals?
This question creates a filter for decision-making. Instead of focusing only on short-term benefits or external influences, it shifts attention to long-term outcomes. It encourages alignment between daily actions and broader financial objectives, making it easier to recognize which opportunities deserve attention and which distractions should be avoided.
Financial decisions are often influenced by emotion, urgency, or outside opinions. Without a clear framework, it is easy to make choices that feel right in the moment but do not support long-term progress. A single guiding question helps reduce that risk by encouraging thoughtful evaluation before committing time, money, or resources.
This approach also simplifies complex decisions. When faced with multiple options, evaluating each one based on how it contributes to your goals makes the process more manageable. It eliminates unnecessary noise and highlights what truly matters. Whether considering a major purchase, an investment opportunity, or a career change, this mindset provides a consistent way to evaluate each choice.
Consistency improves when decisions follow a clear principle. Repeatedly asking the same question creates a habit of intentional thinking. Over time, this leads to more disciplined behavior, stronger financial habits, and greater confidence in the decisions you make.
The question does not need to produce a perfect answer every time. Its value lies in creating awareness. It encourages reflection before action, which can prevent impulsive decisions and reduce the likelihood of costly mistakes.
Financial success is built on a series of decisions rather than one defining moment. Ensuring those decisions are aligned with your goals increases the likelihood of achieving them.
A simple question can create powerful results. When every choice is measured against its impact on your future, progress becomes more deliberate, more consistent, and more meaningful over time.

Blu Dot surpasses 2,000% ROAS with self-serve CTV ads
Home furniture brand Blu Dot blew up on CTV with help from Roku Ads Manager. Here’s how:
After a test campaign reached 211,000 households and achieved 1,010% ROAS, the brand went all in to promote its annual sales event. It removed age and income constraints to expand reach and shifted budget to custom audiences and retargeting, where intent was strongest.
The results speak for themselves. As Blu Dot increased their investment by 10x, ROAS jumped to 2,308% and more page-view conversions surpassed 50,000.
“For CTV campaigns, Roku has been a top performer,” said Claire Folkestad, Paid Media Strategist, Blu Dot. “Comping to our other platforms, we have seen really strong ROAS… and highly efficient CPMs, lower than any other CTV partner we've worked with.”
Using Roku Ads Manager, the campaign moved from a pilot to a permanent performance engine for the brand.
