In the age of TikTok, Reels, and YouTube Shorts, attention spans are shrinking—but engagement opportunities are growing. Today’s clients want financial advice that feels accessible, not academic. That’s why more RIAs are turning to short-form video to grow their visibility and connect with their ideal audience.
Micro-content (videos under 60 seconds) allows you to answer common questions, dispel myths, or share quick tips in a highly shareable format. You don’t need to be a social media influencer. You just need to show up consistently with content that’s clear, helpful, and authentic. Think: “What’s a Roth IRA?” or “3 mistakes to avoid when retiring early.”
The goal isn’t virality—it’s visibility. By appearing in your audience’s feed regularly, you build trust and familiarity. Tools like CapCut, Descript, and Canva make video editing simple, even for beginners. Repurpose snippets from client conversations (anonymized, of course), workshops, or FAQs to create content that feels natural.
Add subtitles, keep it casual, and end with a simple call-to-action: “Follow for more tips” or “DM me with your questions.” You’re not selling—you’re inviting.
Short-form video also improves SEO, builds your personal brand, and serves as evergreen content for your website, newsletter, and onboarding emails. Done right, it becomes a powerful way to attract and pre-qualify your ideal clients before you even speak with them.
